TMC Kolkata Fellowship Recruitment Qualification Criteria:

Vacancy wise Information:

• Fellowship: 22

Education:

1. Fellow – Radiation Oncology: • MD or DNB in Radiotherapy
• Valid registration with the Medical Council of India or equivalent State Medical Council. 
i. Desirable: 1 year of clinical experience following postgraduation in an academic setting.
• Evidence of participation in clinical research.
• Publications in related specialty
ii. Fellowship Duration: Each fellowship is a full-time position for the duration of 2 years. 
2. Fellow – Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery: Qualification: Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (MS General Surgery/MCh. Plastic Surgery/DNB Surgery or DNB Plastic Surgery/FRCS Plastic Surgery from any recognized University)
i. Experience: Freshers may also apply.
ii. Job responsibilities: a. Patient care –( Diagnosis , planning and management )
b. Assisting in surgical procedures. Independent surgery under supervision.
c. Data management &presentation
d. Participation in Multi disciplinary meetings, scientific presentations in hospital and outside.
e. Participate in Scientific research and Publications
3. Fellowship in Breast Oncosurgery: Qualification: MS (General Surgery) or DNB (General Surgery) or MRCS with 2 years experience in General Surgery
i. Tenure/ Duration of the Fellowship Programme: One Year
4. Fellowship in Clinical Hematology & BMT: Essential: Any one of the following medical qualifications
• DM Clinical Haematology • DM Medical Oncology • MD General Medicine • MD Paediatrics • MD Pathology 
i. Fellowship Duration: 2 years 
ii. Fellowship Objectives: • Diagnose and manage all patients with malignant diseases of the haemopoietic and related systems.
• Recognize the nature, assess the significance and manage the haematological complications of non- haemopoietic diseases and their therapy.
• Interpret laboratory data (and whenever possible contribute to their genesis) and synthesize laboratory and clinical data so as to provide rational solutions for patients’ haematological problems. 
iii. Clinical responsibilities: The fellow would be responsible for primarily evaluating patients in the OPD as well as in the ward. All day to day evaluation and management of the patient would be the responsibility of the fellow with appropriate guidance from the consultants in the department.
5. Tata Medical Center Fellowship in Urological Surgery Essential: M.S. or DNB degree in General Surgery
i. Desirable: MCH/DNB in Urology.
ii. Attitude: Keen to learn and emphasis on delivery of quality medical care
iii. Fellowship Duration: 1 year extendable upto another year depending on the experience and requirements of the individual. Further extensions may be available depending on performance and aptitude.
6. Fellowship in Surgical Oncology: M.S. or DNB degree in General Surgery
i. Desirable: Worked for more than 1 year following a Masters Degree, preferably in an oncology unit. Candidates appearing for final PG examination may also apply.
ii. No of Fellowship Positions: Eight (8) positions, starting from Jan 2011
7. Fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery: Essential: M.S degree in ENT or General surgery 
i. Desirable: • Work experience in Head and Neck surgical oncology
• Publications in peer reviewed journals
• Participation in Clinical or Basic Sciences Research 
ii. Fellowship Duration: 2 years 
iii. Evaluation: 6 monthly and end of training evaluation of based on log book records, self assessment, Continuous Assessment of Surgical Training (CAST) scores.
iv. Academic responsibilities: • Collation and analysis of patient data for purposes of research and publication
• Training junior doctors/ nursing/paramedical staff
• Management of outreach and prevention clinics with collection and organization of data. 
8. Fellow – GI – HPB Surgery: Qualification:  MS / DNB General Surgery, fresh DNB (GI surgery) can also apply
i. Experience: Freshers May also apply
ii. Duration: 2 years, full time, extendable to 3rd year as per availability of seat and performance.
9. Fellowship in Onco-anaesthesia and Critical Care Qualification: MD/DNB in Anaesthesia.
i. The remuneration will be commensurate with years of experience.
ii. Mediclaim benefits (self only) for hospitalization purpose not exceeding Rs. 1 lakh. 
iii. Duration: Duration of the Fellowship is for 2 years, extendable upto 1 more year depending on the individual’s performance and management’s discretion.
10. The Tata Medical Center Fellowship Program in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Qualification: MD/DNB (Pediatrics)/ equivalent
i. Fellowship Duration: Two years; can be extended by one year for deserving candidates
ii. Objectives: a. To train a pediatrician having requisite postgraduate qualification (MD Pediatrics/ equivalent) as a specialist in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, who would be able to have a comprehensive understanding of the pathophysiology of pediatric hematological and oncological disorders. 
b. Diagnose and provide comprehensive care to children with these disorders, including Carrying out all necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
11. Medical Oncology fellowship at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata 
i. Qualifications: Essential: MD/DNB in General Medicine or any allied specialities
ii. Job description in brief: a. To look after in-patients and out patients who are under the treatment of Medical Oncology.
b. To attend to emergency patients under Medical Oncology who present to Emergency during day time.
c. To do clinical rounds daily in the in-patient along with consultants of the Medical Oncology team
12. Tata Medical Center Fellowship Program Essential: MD/DNB degree in Nuclear Medicine 
i. Fellowship Duration: 2 years 
ii. No of Fellowship Positions: Two 
iii. Desirable: • Work experience in an oncology setting
• Publications in peer reviewed journals
• Participation in Clinical or Basic Sciences Research
iv. Fellowship Objectives: The aim of the fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine s to enable the trainee to become capable of practice as a consultant in Nuclear Medicine with comprehensive knowledge in the multidisciplinary management of different malignancies
13. Fellow – Digestive Diseases: Eligibility: MD/DNB in Medicine
i.Duration: One Year

14. Fellowship – Onco-imaging & Intervention: Qualification: MD/DNB in Radiology and Imaging.
i.Fellowship Duration: 2 years.
ii. Job responsibilities: Rotational postings are provided in X-ray, ultrasonography, mammography, CT scan, MRI and Cath Lab, with supervised reporting and hands-on experience in most procedures.
